Off The Record

Design Challenge: This branding project involved creating a “food truck”-style business concept based on a personally meaningful topic. The challenge was to develop a unique, mobile brand identity while restricting deliverables to items typically associated with a food truck. The goal was to design a visually cohesive and compelling identity that could resonate with a niche audience.

Design Solution:  I came up with Off the Record as a mobile record company that brings vinyl records directly to music enthusiasts, combining the nostalgia of collecting records with the excitement of discovering new favorites. The name is a fun nod to both the truck’s constant movement and the personal connection people have with music. I hand-drew the logo to reflect the authentic and nostalgic feel of vinyl, adding a human touch that ties into the brand’s passion for music. The design is bold yet simple, balancing vintage-inspired colors with clean, modern typography to appeal to a wide range of music lovers. Every design choice was intentional, from the logo to the overall look and feel, to create a brand that invites people to connect, explore, and share their love for vinyl records.
